MB....are you able to send us a picture? Seems so many now have digital cameras.

Including me! I got a Fuji from QVC for an early birthday present. Most of the time I forget I can take pictures like crazy if I remember.

Have a wonderful time. How long will you be gone?

I can appreciate the relationship between you and your son. Me and my Zoë have had such good healing from a very bad previous 18 years....not NOW, but 4-5 years back.

Good morning from Blowing Rock NC

Good morning all!

Hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful weekend. I'm all set up in my little "studio condo" with an absolutely stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is absolutely breathtaking. I had no idea I was getting this view when I booked this place.

Had a long but good day with my son yesterday. I drove the van and he and his friends did all the lifting and moving stuff around. There's more to do today but I'm looking forward to spending the time with him.

It's funny we spent his teenage years barely tolerating one another but it has definitely shifted. We can talk adult to adult in many ways. We have that shared history (some of which wasn't very pleasant) but I think it makes us appreciate each other more. We stuck it out and seem to have made it to the other side where we actually like each other. The age of miracles has not past!

My breathing was pretty labored yesterday. The altitude is a huge adjustment for me. But I pushed the fluids yesterday and I'm starting to feel better this morning.

Have a great Sunday everybody!

Oh, I can just picture the view. Beautiful. We use to go to Blowing Rock

and Chimney Rock. There was mountain quarry type swimming around there

too I remember. Once was more than enough for me-swimming in cold ice

water may cool you off but not my idea of fun. Thinking of the beauty

you're seeing almost makes me want to get in the van and head back to

NC. I had family and friends who went to school in Boone and they all

fell in love with the area. However, the greatest beauty is the sharing

that you and your son are able to do. I know you and your son are having

a great time. It's nice that you are a distance you can regularly see

each other.

We have concrete jungle. Roads. Buildings. Roads. Buildings. Roads.

Buildings. Now, there are other reasons I live here but there is

absolutely nothing pretty in this area. I am a bit fortunate for my

small piece of beauty as my living room windows and patio both face a

wooded area, a trail, and a creek. So, at least, I'm not like so many

with a view looking into another apartment or a parking lot.
