Guest guest
How high is "high dose"? Are you doing the vitamin a protocol, or simply giving higher than normal vitamin a daily? To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 9:50:15 AMSubject: Re: The promised Antiviral 101 post A question on anti-viral. Valtrex/Immunovir didn't work for DS since his main problem is Measles virus. High dose Vit.A seems to help him. So does LDM-100 and Monolaurin. But how much should you expect the titers to move? For DS Measles anti-bodies went from about 2.65 to 2.45 in 4-5 months (ref. range was 0.9 or 1.0, I don't remember excatly). It seems to be a very slow process. Do the titers finally go down to normal levels? > > > >> > >> > >> So I promised this several months ago. Guest guest
Arpita, Were the high measles titers the only determinant that measles is the issue or did you have clinical symtpoms, rashes etc at some point of time. Thanks,KayTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, January 5, 2011 9:48:58 AMSubject: Re: Re: The promised Antiviral 101 post Titers don't always move for everyone. My son's titers remain fairly steady but I know it's working because of his behavior. Like I said, a lot of finessing the details! *But* for some, titers do get to normal. I have much less experience with measles because we haven't focused on that nearly as much. We did TF-RMM for measles but haven't followed the titers since it really isn't as much of a problem for him as herpes viruses. I'm planning to do the Vit. A protocol because he is now deficient and my DAN suggested it since it would cover both bases (the deficiency and the measles). But again, measles hasn't affected him nearly as much as herpes so it hasn't been a major focus. SUSAN: Who is it again that's doing the Amantadine? I know you've said it before but my memory is foggy since I went to bed at 2AM. Cheryl~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~@midian42~ A question on anti-viral. Guest guest
We had some rashes with OLE and some tiny bumps here and there with LDM-100. Also he shows all the symptoms of MMR regression. He used to have eye stims before we started the fish oil. He never never falls sick. He has gut problems - high yeast. He tested positive to MBP (Myelin Basic Protein). I don't remember all the tests that Dr.McCandless mentions in her book, but DS had every symptopm she lists. > >> > > >> >> > >> >> > >> >> So I promised this several months ago. Guest guest
High dose Vit. Guest guest
As for Dr (Neuro Sensory Center ) Amantadine in the morning and half of a capsule of Valtrex (for a 6 years old)in the afternoon. This combination fight the viral infection and with Methyl B12 and folic acid (we use a cream from Neurobiologix that was recommended) it is working wonders in many children, including mine. http://www.autismone.org/content/stewart-kendal-stewart-md-lisa-hunter-ryden-par\ ent-and-physician-partnership-healing-our-chi Please check on this list too, and website. This is very informative ...and www.stopcallingitautism.com The owner of the site comments that he used the Neurosensory Centers, NIDS, and DANs to recover his kid. I do the same.... my son is improving greatly in the few months on the Neuro Sensory Centers, I still use my knowledge of DAN/Biomedical as a help. Dr uses many supplements in addition of the antivirals.
