While most fish/seafood is better than red meat, not all seafood is healthy. And

I believe shrimp is indeed one of the worst.

The best are: salmon (river grown, not pond raised), tuna, and there's one more

which escapes me.

These contain the very desirable Omega 3 oil.

Shrimp

Hi,

My father in law is a type 2 and he was telling me that shrimp are the worst

protein source a daibetic can eat, because of the cholesterol ini them. I told

him whoever told him that, was wrong. Seafood and most fish are better than

beef, chicken, or pork.

He told me that he got the info from his diatician. If so, I'm thinking that

the diatician should have his/her accredidation revoked.

Thoughts?

The dietician is correct. Shrimp is very high in cholesterol, even more so

if fried.
