Guest guest
When I'm working I carry some pretzels, sliced almonds or sliced apples in my pocket and sneak a couple. you can't eat a lot of them. I have a little bit at a time also the miniature rice cakes is good. Chewing gum is good if it is only something to do with your mouth that you are missing but it can make you hungrier, It increases the digestive juices in your stomach. Drinking water and etc works for some but it doesn't for me, I need a solid type food. You can also get some of the diabetic friendly cereal and eat a little dry, The crunch of it seems to make you think you are eating more and helps a lot. You can eat a couple of crackers also. Any veggie sticks are great I love raw veggies dipped in a low fat vegetable dip, carrots, broccoli, celery, cucumbers, cauliflower is my favorites. You can just snack on plain ones also, especially celery and cucumbers. Get lettuce and add a couple of cherry tomatoes, a bite of cheese and cucumbers, other raw vegetables of your choice and use a spritzer vinaigrette on it or a small amount of your favorite dressing, I like adding imitation bacon bits. Dill pickles is a good choice also. Patty
Guest guest
try to keep busy. Take a walk or do something you like. I would tell myself I would eat in 10 minutes and then I would stretch out the time everyday. I no longer snack. It takes time for your body to adjust to a different lifestyle. Betty really really hungry I quit smoking two months ago. Everything was fine for a while, then I started feeling ravenous about an hour after eating. My meals are substantial so I know I'm not really hungry. I have mostly given in to these cravings, but I don't want to gain weight. Does anyone have any tricks they use or foods they use that can help me through this phase? Penny Carey
