Sher,

No the one that allows drugs doesn't service my area, this one is straight DNR, which is fine with me , now if I can just convince my husband, daughter and brother. I did go see the Hospice in House tonite, its beautiful, a huge room, with a walk out patio overlooking the woods, they even said they can wheel my bed outside on it. Has a microwave, icebox, and even a separate kitechen for family members. It also has a recliner, phone, tv, DVD player, and a sofa bed that makes into a full size bed if anyone wants to spend the night with me, they said the average stay is 28 days, but they've had them from 3 hours to 18 months. If it will make it easier on Gene I will go sooner, I'll find out when I talk to the Hospice nurse tomorroww.

Love,

Vicky81856

Vicky.... I forgot to ask you earlier in our chat, did you pick the Hospice that will allow some meds?

Again, I love you and I wish I could be there to visit you.

Hospice

HI everyone,I'm sorry I havent been keeping up with everyone, just having a lot of pain and shortness of breath. I talked to my dr and he agreed, its time for Hospice so....they come Friday at 2pm to sign me up. I'm just so tired and worn out, and most of the pain I'm getting now is from my heart and my blockage. So, I will enjoy whats left, when it's time for me to go, my brother said he will let you all know. Thank you for being the best bunch of people I have ever met. I love you all.....Vicky81856 MI IPH/PF COPD Hammond Rich Syndrome 4-06

Vicky

Good luck and know you carry all our support with you as you go talk. By

drugs I'm assuming you mean drugs to treat or save but that they do

still provide drugs for pain?

Vicky... it sounds like you have come to terms with what is next. I think you are very brave honey, to accept DNR now. That is not an easy decision but I understand from our private talks your reasons for accepting where you are.

Hospice certainly sounds soothing and welcoming. Any I have seen are that way. Usually, any special personal items can be brought in as well.

Is this close to your home? Again, usually, a family member can visit at anytime.

Have you a time when you WANT to go to Hospice?

Since we have talked privately and you write this on board, I'll say I am praying that this turn towards Hospice is God's Way of gently transitioning you. You know Vicky, where you are and if it's time, then it's time.

I love you and I wish I could be there to hold your hand. I am in spirit. We all are. I remember when you joined the board. Talk to me privately anytime you want, talk to us on the board.

I welcome your prayers for Zoë. I continue to pray for Gene and .

My love always,
