Guest guest
Zena, I agree- only we always called them "stone cold" instead of "dead cool!" Brings back lots of memories even though you were being born and I was wishing my parents would let me go to Woodstock. Guest guest
Walt, I goofed...I hadn't entered my Birthdate on the site...my song is " My heart tells me" ,( should I believe my heart) by Glen Gray...I never heard of it!!! I could not get a sample...the link sent me to Amazon to buy a recording..I.no longer have a turn table! .. Oh., well it is fun to look at the titles...I do remember many of them especially from late 40's and later. I was born in 1944. My folks always were singing and dancing to the big band. I learned to dance swing with my dad and was his designated partner at many weddings and celebrations after he had danced my mom off of her feet.!!! Even after he danced with me and tired me he would find another girl to keep dancing. He was some dancer and I really miss him especially when I here the big band swing music. ( In the Mood was his favorite.) Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! No, NSIP was not self-inflicted…I never smoked! Guest guest
Walt, You are so sweet to send the lyrics for my song. Actually I've always felt that my song was " " a song written by a song writer who was the father of Gray ( the actress from the TV show Dallas). The lyrics go something like: "I walk down the street, my heart skips a beat, I can't help thinking about . Miracles can happen and when the lucky stars begin to shine I know that that day I'll make mine" My dad used to sing it to me every night as I was growing up. I honestly thought he'd written it for ME. It was many many years later that I learned the actual origin of the song. I still smile thinking about those evenings. I really miss him. he's been gone for three years. Isn't it amazing what music can do? Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! Guest guest
Z... your story about your dad made me think of me singing "Beautiful Beautiful Brown Eyes" to my Zoë when she was an infant/toddler. Obviously w/brown eyes. Those were such wonderful moments. I'd sing and she'd play with my nose and stick her fingers in my mouth! Sleep well tonight friend. MamaSher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR.
