Guest guest
Oh, how could I have forgotten. An important reason I choose North Carolina is because that is where the fabulous Beth is. She has already promised I can take her to lunch. Even Einstien could not have given a better eaxmple of his 'theory of relativity 'than your analogy to golf stick and broom. You have agreat sense of humour!! Guest guest
Z... whoooo, I'm up at 5.30 this morning for pre-scan meds. I'm sure anxious to get all this fol-de-rol over with. Being sick is a tough job! I'm so glad you are going to a start-off dinner. We used to do those dinners. Fun and the food is usually fantastic. Take a bite of dessert for me. BTW, the pictures are as always, precious. Your two little grands are just that...both of them especially pretty girls. Even if they weren't 'pretty' they are grandma's girls for sure and lucky to be in your loving family. Hope continues to do well. Later alligator. MamaSher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR./ NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Sher Sher, Here's hoping for a good outcome after the scan tomorrow. Thanks for the 43rd anniversary wishes. We're going out to the club for dinner. Mike is in a golf tournament this week-end and there's a start-off dinner tomorrow night. So we'll have lots of people to help us celebrate.I plan on a big dessert!! Maybe a sundae! Now I'm hungry! -- Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! Guest guest
Yes Sher, I did receive the Constant Comment..........I was certain that I thanked you and let you know........however, my memory being what it is.......wait..........what? :-) It was a very nice cuppa. The strawberries are a bust...........we put in 150 dry root plants last Spring (2007) They did real well, we picked blossoms off so they could establish a good root system.......knowing that we'd be rewarded this year. This whole project represents a level of patience that is absolutely foreign to me.......less than half survived the winter, I think they are sissy plants from the Northeast. If they don't start flowering soon.......well, I just hope they do. You know, when we hatched this project 3 years ago there was a point at which I wondered if I'd be around for the harvest, another example of those oh-my-God-I'm-going-to-die-tomorrow days. Looking back, it's laughable. Looks like we'll have to keep buying those "things" from California (sorry ). They are red, they are shaped like strawberries, sometimes even smell like strawberries.......but they ain't. Must be a slow day........going on and on about berries. jim From: Bruce Moreland <brucemoreland@ gmail.com>Subject: Re: portable O2 cylinderTo: Breathe-Support@ yahoogroups. comDate: Thursday, July 10, 2008, 2:18 PM Tri-med has them too http://www.tri- medinc.com/ TM/index. html#totalo2cyl oh my, I never realized how expensive those special cylinders were. >> Jim,> Portable Nebs has them. Guest guest
Hi Peggy...thanks for your post to me. Yeah, I'm doin' OK....the pain is better. The patch seems to doing it's thing. I was out all morning and simply ran out of gas. WE were supposed to meet Godfrey at 3:30 but I had to beg off. If I had one once of go left in me I would have used it to meet up with him. We will meet instead in the morning for breakfast. Yes, I've been fairly quiet on the board. Just don't feel real motivated right now...probably because I'm having a "tired period". Guest guest
Oh me too Irene! Now I've got my fingers crossed I will NOT have an allergic reaction or side effects.! Besides which, discontinuing the pain PILLS, 4 a day x 30 that's 120 pills a month I'm NOT swallowing. Add the 3 NAC I stopped taking that's a total of 210 pills a month I'm not swallowing. Unbelievable! MamaSher, age 69. IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Sher Missy Ladybug, How are you ?? Guest guest
Hi Sher, I'm just being nosy, but why have you stopped taking the NAC? My doc is doing some reading to see if it would be suitable for me and if so, what dose, so I would be interested to see why you've stopped. Love Ze xx>> Oh me too Irene! Guest guest
Sher, Keeping my fingers crossed for you! Unbelievable the meds we have to swallow. I totally agree with you, not wanting to swallow all those pills. Today I had the appointment with the surgeon, who wanted to remove the PICC Line, because home care nurse told him for 4 days ago (not my regular nurse) it was blocked, when it fact it wasn't. I checked it in ER, the same day by the IV nurse. If he wanted to verify that I was there on Saturday, he could call ER. He said that wasn't necessary because he believed me. I explained the reasons as to why it needs to stay in there and he agreed. If it gets blocked they will just put a new one on my (L) arm. The stress level that the nurse caused it so totally unbelievable...that I was ready to stop treatment and never have blood tests again because my hands look like fireworks afterwards. That I even called my GI and told him he needs to discontinue blood tests every 2 months because my hands will look like fireworks!...Do you think he'll be mad at me when I see him end of August. Guest guest
Hi Vicky, It makes a lot of sense, not to want to deal with dr's, nurses, meds etc, especially when feeling good! I've been there myself. I think you should call Hospice, especially if you're running low on the meds. God Bless!
