Guest guest
Cheryl, I just reread this and, oops - I gave it in orange juice! I just started this morning. Why no citrus? Just curious. - Kirk- To: mb12 valtrex From: mossyforrest@...Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2011 02:17:41 +0000Subject: Re: Lugols No it doesnt havent to be kept cold. Heat will make it evaporate faster. Guest guest
Ok gotcha. Thank you! - Kirk- To: mb12 valtrex From: mossyforrest@...Date: Sun, 13 Feb 2011 15:34:46 +0000Subject: Re: Lugols Not a big deal. Some people dont think it matters. If you are getting some of your iodine transdermally it matters less. The C changes the iodine to iodide. The body requires both iodine and iodide. The now "all" iodide you just drank can be changed back to iodine in the body. Some think thats a process that should be avoided, others dont. I tend to err on the side that most our damaged bodies have trouble with processes (think the different Seleniums and folic acid) so i dont make it work harder than it has to.Cheryl>> > Cheryl,> > I just reread this and, oops - I gave it in orange juice! Guest guest
Thanks Cheryl. I'm too scared to take a test right now. It sounds like maybe the iodine could be the culprit here. Thanks for all the info. - Kirk-To: mb12 valtrex From: mossyforrest@...Date: Sat, 12 Mar 2011 15:54:29 +0000Subject: Re: Lugols Yes Thats the short answer. The lack of iodine and thyroid hormones has impact on everything for that time of the month. The deficiencies made me go into early menopause. It does that to alot of ladies. And the male equivelent, too. People do tend to be more fertile after starting iodine. Once they become iodine sufficient and correct thryoid balance of hormones the reproductive processes seem to get fixed.Takes time. Many months to years. And there is usually alot of imbalance to start with so fixing it can sometimes create additional periods or lack of. The first time i took Natural Thyroid, after taking Iodine for a few months, I had a period. It had been 5 years. That freaked me out. Along with all the fun hormonal swings. It was only one completely like the past periods and then it was gone and i wondered if i was going to have to endure another one. Mixed emotions. It was and is rather nice not having them even tho i had learned that the reason i stopped so early was because i was sick (thyroid hormone and iodine deficient). So pretty much anything is possible. Most people report improved monthly occurances after several months of iodine and/or natural thyroid supplementation. If you are freaking out because there is a possiblity of pregnancy then you might want to take a test :-) Cheryl > > > Hi Cheryl, > > Here's another question for you, and I am praying the answer is yes. Can iodine affect 'that time of the month'? Please say yes.I am 3 days late and completely freaking out, but remembered that iodine affects thyroid stuff, so I was thinking maybe it can affect hormones in general? Sorry for too much personal info. I just had to ask. Thanks. > > - Kirk-
Guest guest
I also have early menopause. I am 45 years old and have not had a period for 3 years. I recently started with the iodine, not Lugol's though. Once a day I am using NAKA Vegetable iodine drops (10 drops = 1 mg of potassium iodide) and 1 drop of of Life brand which is 2.5% iodine and 2.5% potassium iodide. Is that how much you are using?YesThats the short answer. Guest guest
Can lugols 2% be toxic if taken too much or too long?Sent from my iPad Well, remember I told you, I took it and felt great. good energy. Day two, same thing. I gave it to Tom. He was fine, good, normal energy. But both days in a row, a slight temp. Tom normally runs a lower temp...97ish. So 99-100 is very rare. Even at 98 he feels warmer than usual. He's not complaining, his mood is fine. I don't know if this is a good sign, a bad sign or just coincidence. I should add that he's been doing alot of coconut/pineapple, green apple, pears, carrots....and I've been because 1) He I'm freaked over the whole parasite thing. 2) he drinks them like they're going out of style. I might have had fever the first 2 weeks, cause it was very flu like and that usually includes a fever ;-) Course i just woke up so I cant remember exactly but it will now bug me the rest of the day. I would say i pretty much felt like crap that first 10 days. did too. I know that we didnt have any high fevers. Next depends on what you think constitutes fever. To me anything over 102 is worrisome. Anything under i leave alone. Coincidence to getting a cold or other bug is possible specially since you are iodine deficient :PI did take IBU (lots) back then so perhaps i didnt have fever because of that ;-)Cheryl >> Cheryl, is it common for a person to get a fever the first time taking iodine?> or is it most likely coincidence?> -tammy>
