Guest guest
may also mean you are getting high doses of them, my plasma was just high in it as well last week but I chew b fresh gum all the time and think that is why From: Kay Sent: Saturday, February 05, 2011 10:49 PM To: NIDS ; MB12 Valtrex Subject: Elevated Vitamin B12 levels in Plasma Has anyone have very elevated Vitamin B12 levels in plasma that actually went down with any intervention? There seems to be very little literature on this - I have read somewhere that it might be the oxidized form of B12 hence unusable hence the high reading but not sure if that is true. Guest guest
Dr. McCandless touches on this on one paper I read by her. And she suspects the same. The 12 is there, but the body isn't able to uptake and utilize it correctly. Kinda like a diabetic and sugar. The sugar's there but the body doesn't know how to use it so it just sits there. It sounds like a reasonable explaination but who knows with these kids? Anything's possible. Guest guest
I'd like to know more about this as well. My daughter's B12 levels were WAY higher than normal range, and this was before she was on any supps which makes no sense. - Kirk- To: mb12 valtrex From: t.lynn28@...Date: Sun, 6 Feb 2011 04:53:38 -0800Subject: Re: Elevated Vitamin B12 levels in Plasma Dr. McCandless touches on this on one paper I read by her. Guest guest
Kay (and Toni too!) No, I haven't run all of them for Rob yet. He was already in " travel " mode by the time his DAN and I got to talk about running those tests. Rob has been with my sister in FL for a series of things she does with him (eye sight and dental work) -- he is there until March 1. Some of the symptoms that Rob showed were: tremors, body weakness, loss of position sense (he had zero spatial ability with his own body, and would run into things, hard), diminished sense of touch or sensation. (he would hurt himself, and it didn't seem to bother him at all!) Tingling in arms and legs (he would get pins and needles to the point of irritation), muscle spasms, vision changes (loss of), tired but couldn't sleep, spacey (you would ask him to get you something, and literally within 2 seconds, he was clueless as to what you wanted.) his eyes would roll (hard to explain..), irrational thoughts and paranoia, not to mention is abundant gastro issues, and bone deformities. But Toni is correct - I had them run for my father. He had a stroke and keeps getting strokes (4th since Sept.) -- and they ran a serum B12 test, but it didn't explain all the def. symptoms. (I purchased the book for my sister in law -who is a nurse-, she confirmed these symptoms.) They ran an HCY test which was elevated -- and rather than give him a shot, they wanted to put him on heart medications - I was like " GAH! " - I faxed copies of the pages of the book over to his Dr's office to discuss it, and she just went ahead and ordered shots for him. (along with folic acid and B6) - They will run another test in a month or so. I hope this helps. laura > > > > > > Has anyone have very elevated Vitamin B12 levels in plasma that actually > > went > > > down with any intervention? > > > There seems to be very little literature on this - I have read somewhere > > that it > > > might be the oxidized form of B12 hence unusable hence the high reading > > but not > > > sure if that is true. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > -- > Toni > > ------ > Mind like a steel trap... > Rusty and illegal in 37 states. >
