Guest guest
I feel for your pal; my boy does exactly the same thing especially in the last 3 months. He wont allow headphone anywhere near ANYONE'S head (so we can't make everyone else wear them either )We can't go anywhere...The supps, esp B12 and Mg seem to help a bit, the valtrex makes it worse. Was very keen to try LDN, but unable to get it for now. Am planning to order from overseas, where a prescription isn't required and "cut" the naltraxone. Any clues on what dosage would be safe? Nigel is 16 and 180lbs.StanTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2011 5:25:50Subject: Re : vocal stimming question We used for that, on advice of our BCBA, iShufle, with light classic music (Mozart is great for that! or another if child likes) on low volume: it gives the sensorial stimulation child looks for. Sometimes it's a longway for child to accept this thing in ears but with behaioral issue it's also possible. Of course, we don't need use that all the time (I guess it's not very good for child). na ----- Message d'origine ---- De : marybeth À : mb12 valtrex Envoyé le : Mer 9 février 2011, 22h 04min 19s Objet : vocal stimming question Hi Everyone- I ran into a friend of mine last night that also has a son with ASD. He is nonverbal and a HUGE vocal stimmer. Like a constant AAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! noise she says every waking moment. It is very loud and she is at her wits end. They have done biomedical and she has treated for yeast and bacteria in the past. She treated even though tests did not indicate they were an issue. Last yeat, they stopped all supplements. The verbal stimming has increased in volume and frequency over time. I had nothing to tell her but thought someone might have an idea on what I can tell her. He has never been a sleeper either and she is exhausted. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks beth ------------------------------------
