His reactions were not normal " dieoff " type reactions. At the beginning, we

would have dieoff but it was more a personality type change. With every

probiotic we tried, he would go from being a very happy active kid to withdrawn

and solemn. For instance, he loves loves to swim, ride his bike and iceskate.

While on the previous probiotics that I mentioned he would do those things for a

very short period of time and then want to stop. While we were at the beach two

summers ago he did not want to swim or do anything. Just sit inside and watch

movies. My husband asked me to please give the probiotics a break at least

while we are at the beach and I did. Two days later he was back having fun

playing and enjoying things. Of course, I chalked it up to a virus or something

but started him back on them when we got home. The disinterest and flat

personality returned. I have made notes of this and it seems to be the same

with every probiotic we had tried. I know it sounds strange and I'm not sure if

they have something in it that this one (Custom Probiotic Lactate free Powder)

does not. He has been fantastic on it. It's sad but we stayed on other

probiotics that were making him miserable for too long b/c I thought we would be

better off in the long run. However, so very happy (as I'm sure he is) that we

found this one!

That is awesome news for you guys, beth. He may have had a sensitivity to one of the strains (or fillers) used in the other probiotics. If you still have the bottles of all the others you've tried in the past, you should compare the labels and see what makes this one different. It might be good info for someone else down the line.
