Guest guest
Hi, I think I actually walk on eggshells when I am sleeping and was wondering if anyone else has found found this and knows any solutions. Since I was a teenager (I'm not sure when)I have had about three nights really deep restful sleep and if I do let myself go into a truly relaxed state then I jump awake. It's not that I always suffer from insomnia, sometimes I sleep a long time, but I never feel truly rested when I wake up. This is such an ingrained habit now that I do it whether I live at home or not. My mind feels like it often works all night and I sometimes wake with my teeth or fists clenched. I have accepted this as normal for so long that I almost wonder if it is and if I just need to lower my expectations of rest and relaxation- but it doesn't FEEL right. It does really lower the reserves one has for dealing with any situation well. I've tried sleeping pills, baths, exercice, milky drinks and progressive relaxation, all with fairly limited success. Please anyone tell me if you know something that can help to change the habit.
Guest guest
Maybe if you go in for a sleep-study, where they hook you up and monitor your brain-waves and breathing while you sleep, track your various levels of sleep, check to see if you might have sleep apnea, etc. Couldn't hurt, anyway. -Annie > > Hi, > I think I actually walk on eggshells when I am sleeping and was wondering if anyone else has found found this and knows any solutions. > Since I was a teenager (I'm not sure when)I have had about three nights really deep restful sleep and if I do let myself go into a truly relaxed state then I jump awake.
