Guest guest Posted March 10, 2011 Report Share Posted March 10, 2011 Hi All, While trying to remember all IE principles is great, I think at the core of IE is learning to be present and establishing a strong mind and body connection, and learning to be gentle to ourselves - free of guilt, self loathing, and abuse. I really think I finally found a way to strengthen my mind-body connection: Yoga! I have found that the days that I start off by doing yoga in the morning, I am so much more in tune with my body and its needs. I'm so much more present, mindful and kind to myself. I eat when hungry, stop when satisfied while craving lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Not to mention, I feel a lot less stress and I'm less likely to eat emotionally. I honestly was never a yoga person, but my boyfriend got me to try it and I got hooked. I feel so at peace and connected to my center. Its an amazing feeling.
