Guest guest
We do Santa cruz as well but the apricot apple sauce :)Chill it and do not add the meds until you think you can give them. The bitterness gets worse the longer it's sitting in there. Sent from my iPhone I'm not sure if it's allowed on stage 1 or 2, but...when all else fails. (We do Feingold too) I give Santa Cruz organic chocolate syrup. Yeah, not great, but gets the job done. lol! > > We're trying to get my son to take nystatin for his yeast issues from being on antibiotics (we are also giving him probiotics). > > We are doing Feingold and trying to find a way to get him to take his antibiotics without giving him a lot of juice. he instantly says "yuk" after a sip and pushes away the juice. i've tried pear, apple, grape juice. I tried a coconut/banana/pear/paypaya smoothie this morning but he wanted nothing to do with it. > > any suggestions? > > thanks! >
Guest guest
Hi, take a medicine vial. The medicine vial is the bottle that prescriptions come in.. Fill the vial with a small amount of water, half full.. open up the capsule of Nystatin. Shake the bottle.. if your child is small, make a game of it and ask him how many times he would like to shake the vial and count outloud with him , if nonverbal.. Open up the vial and pour down his throat, very quickly.. very simple.. and praise for him taking his medicine.. with a happy dance or high five , etc. etc. whatever works for your family.. This has worked for us for many years and I also hope it helps you.. good luck and take care.
