Guest guest Posted March 7, 2011 Report Share Posted March 7, 2011 welcome to the group, Katrina! it's good to have you with us.I think a lot of us think of IE as just another diet at first, that we can try it, and then if we end up gaining weight, we will quit and try the next diet. but the truth is that for IE to work, you really have to commit wholeheartedly. which is hard and scary! so good for you for coming to the realization that IE does work for you, despite your reservations. hopefully this will lead to you no longer needing to binge, and not beating yourself up. isn't it amazing how hard we can be on ourselves when we most need kindness in our lives (for example, when struggling with depression)??? all the best to you. i look forward to learning more about you.best,abbyIE since 11/08 Hi I am Katrina and have been trying IE for one year now (since February 2010) and have only come to the realization that hey, this is what really works for my body. I have been keeping the notion that other programs are still an option for me especially if I gain weight and as a result, I have last supper type behavior especially during stressful and emotional time. I am working through some depression right now and am tired of binging only to say that tomorrow I will be " good " . I am also attempting to reincorporate fun exercise into my life and build better relationships with those around me. Looking forward to hearing more from all of you. It does take longer than we would like for it to, but I'd rather be working on this the rest of my life than any dieting - ugh! Best to you and looking forward to reading more posts from you too.
