Guest guest
Welcome Ellen. I am new too. I was never a big snacker, but more of a bulk eater, especially of restaurant meals. So, saving half for the next days meal seems to be working for me so I don't feel wasteful when only eating till satisfied. Guest guest
Hi Ellen, Welcome to the group! Glad to have you! You're so correct about the freedom you feel when you no longer restrict your food choices!! I really enjoy a cheeseburger and fries occasionally and now I feel I can really enjoy them! Prior to IE, I think I was more or less a mindless eater for a good part of my life. Funny thing is I didn't recognize that until I started this journey. Once in awhile I find myself wanting to slip back to that mindlessness, so I try to stay focused and listen to my body's signals. (The feeling of comfortable satiety is still rather challenging because I'm still not totally sure what that feels like.) But anyway, Ellen, I think with patience, practice, committment and focus, we'll all be in a healthier place with our eating/food issues! Good luck on your IE journey, and I look forward to hearing more from you! Best wishes, Jeanne
