Guest guest
Hang in there dear. You are having a really tough time now, especially with . Let's hope your doc come in this week. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Lora Leggett Sent: Sunday, June 26, 2011 12:19 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: My Meter Is Here I will check on Monday about getting more strips. I have 9 strips left and I will figure out how to get them then. I want to make sure what Total Health Care wants and also make sure whether my pharmacy can order them or have one of these mail order places but I don't want to start something then find out it won't be covered. I expect the doctor to come sometime between Tuesday and Thursday because June is almost ujp and he has not visited. I really want to do a test all by myself before he comes. Perhaps I could test in front of him if I were confident enough. It was from shortly after 3 in the morning until 12:30 PM and I simply did not feel hungry and was catching sleep about an hour at a time in between adjusting 's legs and covers and pulling the bed downward, standing behind the head and pulling him upward on the bed. He slides downward about 8 to 12 inches every few hours and it is a lot of exercise for me pulling him up. And I was anxious about the test. That was only the second time and Dan still did it. I am uncomfortable about working with the lancing thing so have to overcome it myself like everything I guess. Guest guest
I hope so too. I wonder why I got such a surge of energy today. I felt like moving mountains. It is the first time in these two weeks that happened and I am not sure why. I had a little ribeye steak but that was Friday night and Saturday I did not feel different. I think the antibiotic was making me sick and drowsy and with all this talk about sugar and carbs and trying to change it was masking the fact that the antibiotic was a curse. I will see how the next few days go with only taking the glyburide. Guest guest
Hi keep in mind that when taking antibiotics or any other med, at times, this can elevate your blood sugars. Even having a simple cold or flu, at times this can elevate sugars as well. Guest guest
Oh yes, I called him my " old friend " Max. He always used to come around for the holidays. But as my best girl friend in Chicago is fond of saying, Max finally left me for a younger woman. I have been free of old Max for almost a year now and definitely don't miss him! I imagine he would have played havoc with the blood sugar thing. But even with all this nothing is as bad as old Max was! Guest guest
Hi. I have only had three tests. A lab test as a part of regular blood work for a physical with a new doctor after not having anything medical since early 2003. That was where the 435 came from. Then on June 18th 156 and then on the 25th 137 but that was after over 9 hours of not eating and just a little water and milk to drink.
