Deb,I hear you about the stomach issues. I've been struggling with a rather restricted diet due to food intolerances. So not only do I have to avoid certain foods all together, but I find that if I have too much of any one particular thing my system gets off track. Lots of carbs will bloat me as well. The approach that I've tried to take is not looking at it as restricting, but rather as caring for myself. Most days I am able to remind myself that if I eat as much as I want of these types of foods I might end up not feeling well. Some days this is enough for me to have some carbs paired with other foods and some days I decided that I'd just really rather have them and I typically pay for it

later.It's a work in progress and overtime you'll find the balance that works best for you. Take care,Tai
