Guest guest
It sounds like it could be food sensitivities. Eczema is a huge indicator. Red cheeks could mean phenol sensitivities. Try rotating her foods and journal her reactions : ) -Tammy To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Tue, February 15, 2011 1:06:48 PMSubject: my baby's showing some funny precursurs I need a little advice on precautionary measures to take with my 17 month old , little sibling to Levi who's recovering from ASD. What should I do? She is already mostly gluten/casein and all organic... I'd love some bullet points on steps to take to reverse the weird gut/skin things. We won't tell. Guest guest
My ASD son gets the eczema and red cheeks when he reacts to food but doesn't seem to have phenol problems. It is his just his indicator of reacting to a food or environmental sensitivity. He even gets the red cheeks if he plays on the gymnastic mats at his school. The poor kid is allergic to the world. A 4 day food rotation has helped him a lot though. It also helps to weed out the triggers. Guest guest
I'm sure you already know, but if she is " mainly" GF/CF, and she is sensitive to one or both of those, "mainly" free will not be enough to help. I would also start a food journal, and add a Probiotic. I need a little advice on precautionary measures to take with my 17 month old , little sibling to Levi who's recovering from ASD. Guest guest
well I would start with going from almost to all the way. gluten could be triggering a celiac gene in the family, or the milk showing you these issues with the stool changes, I heard an allergist say that over 80% of eczema is milk allergies and the other 20 can be immune issues or OTHER allergies. so it sounds like you have another kid with some IGG intollerence issues. you could also do a blood test and it would give you info even faster on WHAT foods are doing inside her body in places you can't see From: ldrofjacobs Sent: Tuesday, February 15, 2011 1:06 PM To: mb12 valtrex Subject: my baby's showing some funny precursurs I need a little advice on precautionary measures to take with my 17 month old , little sibling to Levi who's recovering from ASD. Guest guest
I would give half to one drop of Lugols iodine in water(you didnt give his weight, which might matter) per day with nutritional supplementation (if not eating enough of the right foods supplementation is necessary) of Magnesium, Vit C, B's. A good Multi Vitamin might be adequate. Extra D3, Natural Salt, at least 1/8 of a teaspoon per day. Lots of good clean water. Paint iodine on any skin abnormality, may need to be diluted slightly or used with Coconut oil or lotion to prevent dryness. Try it for a month and see what happens. Thats what i would do. I feel iodine addresses the cause rather than the symptom (example: unable to process gluten/proteins) which could very well be beginning allergy and a multitude of symptoms created from that allergy. Guest guest
Ditto! Sam (7 months now) started getting a 'rash' on his little body (about 5 months), I upped my B12, and added b12 (methyl) to his diet (I give him 5 drops per day) as I am nursing. I also supplement vitamin D3 drops and a probiotic. (Klaire Labs Infant probiotic) Sam also gets a juicer drink (with A LOT of veggies) twice daily. Happy to report, all his little rash like things went away, and he has beautiful perfect skin, along with a happy disposition. (He's also starting to eat food food -- so he gets broccoli now too) I really think it's severe nutritional deficiency. I really do. I don't think we necessarily understand the child's needs during huge growth periods. I know that my daughter, Madison was severely allergic to the world, and once I got her on a juicing schedule, and good supps (she is gf/cf) -- she gained and grew A LOT in a few months. (She virtually skipped over 18 and 2T clothing) She's two and a half now, and her allergies are GONE. (she had wicked stupid allergies, like carrots, peas, corn, bananas, etc.) And I am thoroughly convinced it was due to severe nutritional deficiency. She ate organic everything, had supplements, etc. I think her body just couldn't process the synthetic stuff. Just my thoughts on that. laura > > > > I need a little advice on precautionary measures to take with my 17 month old , little sibling to Levi who's recovering from ASD.
