Hi everyone! My name is Jeanne and I'm excited to become a part of this

e-mail community. I am a wife to a wonderful man (very supportive of

breastfeeding) and a SAHM to two terrific little boys. My first turns

three years old today and my second will be three months next week >>

Welcome Jeanne. I'm , WAHM to Chase (3) and Paige (2 months). My

husband's name is Charlie, and I'm a web master and nutritional consultant.

Hubby is also a web master. After having my 2 month old in the bed with us

almost full time, I couldn't imagine life without a family bed. Hubby

doesn't like it though.

What an adorable picture! I never had any of my dogs pics taken with Rylie,

as they won't sit still that long! I have thought about it, but the thought

of it exhausts me!

Thank you. I've been told by Lucky's vet that she's very docile for her

breed.

Welcome Beatrice! I'm Michele, SAHM of the 2 1/2 listed in my sig line.

Arran wasn't bf because of bad advice but Keely is still nursing, mostly

just at night and I'm pregnant. I am hoping she will wean over the winter

but if not then I am wiling to tandom nurse, I don't think I could do three

though. I do know somebody who is almost doing that, a friend of a friend I

met a couple of weeks ago is tandom nursing a 3 yo and 10 mo and is pregnant

with her 4th. The process has started with Keely, she fell asleep last

night without nursing and she slept thought the night. I'm sure she'll want

to nurse to sleep again. She has slept through the night on and off for the

last couple of months but she has never fallen asleep at night without

nursing. She fell asleep on the couch hugging her Anne Geddes bean bag

bunny-baby and pulled a blanket up over herself, too cute. When went

to carry her up to bed (I couldn't the sciatica was killing me!) she hugged

her doll close and cuddled it, thought it was so cute!

Anyway, that's us, we live in Edmonton and you can see more about us at our

homepage, including my bfing story :-)

Welcome Sandy!

I'm Michele, SAHM of Arran almost 6 and Keely almost 2 and I'm expecting #3

in March. I'm still nursing Keely, willing to tandom nurse if she doesn't

wean over the winter but hoping she does although I won't force her :-) We

AP as well, although not everyone on this list does, Keely still sleeps with

us because she usually nurses to sleep and once through the night, although

she didn't do either last night for the first time.

Mike, we started our son on the diet when he was 5 under similar

circumstances - he was a very picky eater (and skinny) and we had just

weaned topamax which 100% taken his appetite (he was living on milk with

instant breakfast mixed in it & losing weight fast). I was worry sick,

but was very surprised how well he adjusted. I would suggest that you

download the keto planner off of stanford's website & play around with

designing meals. If Broc is a good drinker, you would be able to

substitute meals with a keto eggnog (as your backup). When I look back,

I kinda think was drinking too much milk, prediet & that also

hurting his appetite. Because once we started the diet (and no milk), he

began eating better (coupled with getting the topamax out of his system).

And to answer your question, yes, every meal must be completed. But the

good news is that the meals look very small because of the high content.

You could begin by only feeding him his favorite foods (hotdogs,

greenbeans, whatever) planned into a perfect keto ratio. These

quantities will be small, so it may work well. Trust me, many of us have

been in your shoes --- and many times these little guys surprised us.

Big suggestion --- stay on the list at least through your initiation. If

you get into a bind, many of us will help with suggestions. Keep us

updated.
