There is a bit of confusion created by the title of this article. What it

describes is the combination already well known of what effect saturated

fat and caffeine have on glucose control.

The high level of saturated fat and carbs in fast food promote insulin

resistance and death of beta cells on an ongoing basis.

Caffeine in high enough levels promote insulin resistance when in the

blood.

As a combination they reinforce each other. So it is not the coffie that

is at issue but the combined effects of both especially when caffeine

remains in the blood at higher levels.
