Guest guest
Hi All Just joined the group here in Columbus OH. Have done TONS of research a & read like 20 books since spring '10. Stan and ARI are amazing and I am so thankful for them! My son Malachi is PDD-NOS (unofficially diagnosed by DAN! doc Phil DeMio in Columbus OH) born with GI issues, severe reflux & no weight gain @ 3 mos. Always been delayed, crawled at 16 mos and walked at 20 mos. Sometimes eye flutters or rolling (petit mal??) as a baby, always happy though. Ahead in speech at 9-18 mos. Used to point at the moon at night and yell " MOON--SARS (stars)!! " Around 2 years I noticed gagging at mealtimes--his tonsils BLEW up. During that second year we noticed the birth of stims and lining up objects, and his speech became scripted. Diapers were a mess and I could recognize undigested food in the stool. Started interventions on our own before Dr. DeMio and had HUGE gains. Ran tests and he has been on Nystatin and Acyclovir just over 2 mos and it's been a disaster. REGRESSION. Nystatin cause HUGE STIMMING and now verbal stimming is the new thing. Never did this before. Acyclovir cause chewing on everything (so did Olive Leaf for him) and sound sensitivity returned. Started plugging and screaming again. So we are switching to Valtrex/Diflucan next week and I am thrilled about it. Then in 3-4 weeks we start TD-DMSA. Hoping for amazing results. The craziest part of the story is that Malachi is NOT vaccinated. Dr. DeMio said out of the 3000 kids he's treated, only 10 have not been vaccinated. Lucky .03%. Awesome. If we can recover this kid, at least maybe more people will willingly listen to our story since I can't point my finger to vaccines as the " trigger " . Love to hear from you about your Valtrex/Diflucan combo experiences !!
