Guest guest
Well, I will try and send this again. It was returned to the program since it has started. Toga’s Vet highly recommends the check. Normally an eye exam like this would cost between $250 and $350. Toga is scheduled for May 2. The web page is www.acvoeyeexam.org You're invited...4th year of complimentary eye exams for Service Animals! What to expect; registration and examination process. NEW THIS YEAR! Help us spread the word, 'LIKE' US ON FACEBOOK! Many updates are posted regarding the event here. Video PSAs are available to promote the event. Feel free to review them or send them on to others who could benefit from the program: 15 seconds, 30 seconds and 1.5 minute. LENGTH OF PROGRAM FOR 2011 The event will occur during the month of May. Be advised that participating clinics may designate select days and times for appointments at their location. Pre-registration to the event through the website does not guarantee an appointment for your Service Animal. After you receive your registration number, you must contact the ophthalmologist's office directly to schedule the visit. Appointments are made available on a 1st come, 1st served basis. CAN MY SERVICE ANIMAL PARTICIPATE AGAIN? Yes. If your Service Animal meets the qualifications it is able to participate annually. Repeat participation may help ACVO gather research data for your animals work-type...thereby assisting with future recommendations to the Service Animal community. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED All Service Animal handlers must pre-register with the ACVO; an individual registration number and confirmation will be supplied to each client. You will then be supplied with the clinic's exact address and contact information to call and make your appointment. Prior to registration you may want to see if there is a veterinarian in your area offering services. We hold the participating doctor information until you register so that clinics will not receive questions regarding registration. Pre-registration is the ONLY way ACVO can track the total number of animals being served. Your information will only be used for future notification regarding the program. We do not sell your information nor provide it to ANYONE! LAST YEAR'S RESULTS - 2010 In the program's 3rd year, our 180 Diplomates saw over 3,200 Service animals in 2010! Let's spread the word and get that closer to 4,000 in 2011. The program received noticeably more recognition (over 87,000,000 media hits) in 2010, including segments on Good Morning America and Martha Radio Network. So we're getting the word out about the importance of ocular health in Service Animals and pets!
