Guest guest
April,Wow, that is brilliant! And so obvious -- why haven't I ever thought of that??? Of COURSE! abby Do you work with my MIL? LOL No seriously, my response to rudeness is to call them on it, " Wow, that was really rude. " *crickets in the background, while looking them directly in the eye* Don't save them. Let them flounder and get embarrassed and apologize. Don't accept it. WHY aren't people called on their rudeness more?! Don't engage the rudeness. Call it, accept the apology gracefully, or let them walk away - some people are incapable of apologizing, but the truly decent people who didn't mean bad intent WILL apologize. The rest aren't worth wasting your time on. Seriously, try this. It's SO empowering!!! > > so a co worker walks in and says " you look so French or so Italian today " and then added " are you pregnant? Guest guest
YES!!!So often we complain about things after the fact (myself included)...when we could just call people on their shit. It's SO much better. "Last time I checked, it was bad etiquette to ask people if they're pregnant. Don't ever say that to me or any other woman, again."BOOM! Do you work with my MIL? I'm mad FOR you. Regardless of whether it's true or not, it's still rude to ask a woman if they are pregnant. *hugs* and praying for a sticky pregnancy.
