Isn't banning Mayleen from the group pretty harsh? Especially since the group is formed primarily to assist one an another in dealing with medical conditions that we all know results in our death? A premature death for most of us? I would not like to think that we banished one of us to a netherwrorld where there was no longer essential information and support for coping with our common disease.

I got the email. It seems innocuous to me - a request to visit a site where she had posted pictures of herself. Yes, that may expose us to spam, but that also is a danger no matter what site you visit, even the most secure ones. In the internet world, there is endless monitoring to pick up email addresses and other information about us.

I don't believe this was malicious on Mayleen's part. I have not been harmed by this. My security system is very good at keeping out spam.

During my short time with this group, I have learned that its great strength has been the collective encouragement and support it has provided to its members. And now we want to banish a member for possibly exposing us to spam? Is that so great a crime to make us vindictive and forget our humanity to point our finger to one of us and say "Get out and never darken our door again!"

I cannot do that, nor be a party to it. I prefer the more humane way: forgive and forget.

Beth, regardless of my previous post, I fully support your decision. I had enough military years to know that you never second guess the commander. Only he, and in this case, you have all the facts. You do a wonderful job, and lazy guys like me are very grateful.
