Judy, I didn't reply to your post yesterday for some crazy reason but I want you to know how truly happy I am for you. I was so happy to hear from you. How are you liking Ohio living? It is already so hot here in the afternoons there's no going out. I know it must be wonderful to walk around without the hose. I walked into my kitchen from my chair--maybe 20 feet, without my hose on.... wow what a drain. I put it on pretty quickly. I am also sorry you have so much trouble with your medication. and now the skin thinness. Mine were terrible from the prednisone. It sounds like you are on a lot of meds. I don't think I could ever keep up. Take care of you and stay in touch.Love and Prayers, Peggy (65)  IPF  2004,  Florida"Worry looks around, Sorry looks back,  Faith looks up."

Judy... you are more than welcome for the tea time. I still get pleasure when I think of our members thinking of each other at different times (different time zones) through the day. It's nice to be connected, any way we can!

It's probably a good thing you cancelled the H2O therapy. I'm thinking I couldn't go in with an open cut or sore.

Wow, sounds like you are doing a lot Judy. That's a lota floors you're moppin' girl. I'd be worn out too. I do our little (apt) bathroom and kitchen and I'm sob big time. I need to use O2 with most exertion any more.

I too have really sensitive skin but not what you describe. Is the bruising caused by the meds? I'm thinking yes but a bump causing your skin to BLEED sounds really exceptional. What does your Dr. tell you about that specifically?

Does Dr give you the OK to go to HI?

Keep on keepin' on.

Thanks for the Tea & your reply to my post

Sher, You are the one that motivated me to get back on line and let people know how I am doing. Since the doctor in Feb. 07 only gave me 1 year to live unless I had a transplant I'd say I am doing good. However a recent problem (which I suspect may have been triggered by the Valcyte not just the Prednisone) is my super sensitive skin. My skin doctor recommended Vit. C and B Complex to strengthen my skin when I asked him; but my dietician and lung doctor have me limited to the quantities I can take particlarly Vit. C. Am not supposed to take more than 250 mg per day. Anyway with the bruises on my arms when I barely bump something now my skin bleeds. Last eve my finger got cut and tonight I bmped my arm on a doorway and had to call my son to come over for first aid help as I had to apply pressure to stop the bleeding and he got the bandage and the antibiotic cream. I canceled my water therapy today because my cut finger was just too sore all day. It started to get better tonight & I was busy cleaning house when I bumped my arm. I suspectnow that I will have to cancel my water Therapy on Wed. I was mopping bathroom, laundry room and kitchen floors and really got worn out. I better get to bed now.Love and Aloha,Judy IPF 11/06 Tranxplant 8/22/07
