Guest guest
Peggy, My doctor was saying that because I knew how to do the test very well, that it was probably not a true score. However, I don't know and I'll just keep on doing it and he can say what he wants. Toodles! Guest guest
Jane that is about the craziest thing for your Dr. to say. The more you know about how to take the PFT's the better and more true the results are it would seem to me. when I first started having them I was not good at keeping a tight seal on the mouth piece and so many little things. I know now to sit up and belly breathe so I have maximum amount of air. I think that is a truer test for us to do our very best.Have a Blessed Sunday. Guest guest
Peggy What you typed totally supports what her doctor said. If we're better now and its a truer test then it means we didn't do as well earlier and therefore it made us look worse than we were. Either way, I think the point is that in the same condition we would score better as we get more experienced with the test. I remember my second time all I could think about what how the tube was too big for my mouth. I also have gotten probably truer tests with different mouthpieces. > > Jane that is about the craziest thing for your Dr. to say.
