PLEASE DON'T CRY MARY LOUIm sorry you are having a rough time todayBULL-CRAP is rightBrett Bowser 40 MI.familial UIP/IPF 11/07 stage 4 lung cancer 7/08I talked to my pulmo about an hour ago, he took me off the lasix and potassium, weren't doing any good. On 15mg prednisone daily which seems to be ok. Haven't lost a huge amount of weight anyhow. I also have a call in to my "PCP" to take me off the "simvastatin" for cholesterol (high amts. run in family history) as since I have been on it for 2 months (also checked website for side effects of that) have been having severe cramps in legs, bone and muscle aches all over, etc.Now I called the oxygen company, and asked them to come and fill the liquid tank (huge one, floor model) tomorrow because I would run out before Monday otherwise. He said just came on Monday didn't he? I said yes, but I have had the tubing hooked up to the tank because my elect. concentrator gets too hot and makes the whole apt. hot and runs up my elect bill $75. per month. He said I am not allowed to use the liq oxy tank that way, it is only here for the helios and companion units to be filled with upon leaving the house. I may Not USE IT ANY OTHER WAY. or they will remove it. bULL-CRAP-A. IT IS WHAT IT IS. You know what? I was just trying to live cooler for a few days. This company is a billion dollar company, and this is how they treat the elderly. He was trying to be nice but it just didn't set with me right. I had to promise him I would only use it when I leave the house with the Helios and companion. He said ok. When was here Monday, he neglected to remove the water retainer when he rolled it out to the van to refill the oxy. and water went all over my carpet, down the hall and out the door. what a slob. IRENE,BRETT,ZENA: I talked with pulmo about the liq oxy tank and he

only can prescribe it in my house, he has no control over what use I

have to it, also the oxy co. put me on hold and the manager did come

to the phone and he is the one I was going round and round with.

My suggestion if you want to use liquid at home is to have the

pulmonologist prescribe it in that way. The oxygen company will still

not like it but have little choice. Furthermore if they had the right

size reservoir or reservoirs at your home weekly deliveries would still

suffice.

He can prescribe what he wants you to use both stationary and portable.

If he writes the prescription saying you liquid they cannot substitute.

Lou, I just started Pravastatin for high cholesterol. Geeze. Somethin' else.

I'm just bug-eyed at your water condition. I can't believe anyone would leave you in such a mess. Aren't they responsible to have wet vac's brought in and clean up the water/mess?

CALGON, take us away!....................

I talked to my pulmo about an hour ago, he took me off the lasix and potassium, weren't doing any good.
