I was thinking of something like this: -We would email each other directly and set a goal for the week. This could be as simple as drink 8 glasses of water a day, or take a 10 minute walk everyday for a week. -At the end of each day we would email each and say " how it went " or if we accomplished it. We could also comment on the other person's experiences if we want (support, suggestions, etc) -It would be low pressure, so if one of us had a hectic day and missed emailing, it wouldn't be a big deal. Ideally, we wouldn't miss more than one or two days emailing in a week. -We could re-evaluate after a week, and see if we'd like to keep doing the buddy system for a whole month. If you would like to try this out with me, here's a little bit about me. Perhaps you are facing the same challenges? Tell me about you. -I've started gaining weight as I aged -I do well with tiny baby steps -I find diets demoralizing and don't believe they work -I work at home and have a hard time getting motivated to exercise -I want to celebrate small accomplishments, rather than be disappointed by over extending myself and failing.
