Guest guest
Welcome to the group, Cheryl. Glad to have you with us!Sue offers great advice, to start with the IE book. And keep posting, and read what other folks have to share. Best, Abby Hi, I'm Cheryl been an overeater for awhile. Have lost over a 100lbs a few times. I have problems with overeating mindlessly in the afternoon while watching Tv. I get upset with myself, depressed, failure, ect. I want to stay motivated and eat healthy because I want to feel better about myself. I don't like my self image and I am at the largest size clothes I got. Just would like to get to know some of you and your words of wisdom to treat myself better so I feel good about myself. Cheryl
Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, I'm right where you are. I'm tired of going back and forth with my weight. I just spent the past year losing and gaining the same 40 lbs. and now am basically where I was just over a year ago. I've decided there's no point in dieting if I'm going to go through all that work and end up with no result, and I don't want to fight with myself anymore. It's hard to give up the idea of dieting to thinness, even when I know it's really a futile goal, but I'm trying. Jeannie cherylw wrote: Hi, I'm Cheryl been an overeater for awhile. Guest guest
Thanks for the welcome and the suggestions. I tried OA and WW years ago. I know I can use some of the prinicples. I need to get my act together when it comes to food and not obsess over it. I did eat some junk yesterday, not as much as before. I was just too tired to go out and do something good for myself. I know that all of my overeating has to do with my emotional well being and is all in my outlook. I'm an emotional eater, that gets upset after the fact. Need to reach out before hand. When I get motivated and stay that way I will succeed in many ways. I feel that the over eating and my self esteem are connected and need to be better, gotta work on that.
