Well, it might give you an idea into her methylation system. How does she do or TMG or DMG? These are sulfur donors (and undermethylators are great responders). If you've tried these and she didn't respond or responded negatively, that could mean she either 1) is methylating fine and does not the extra sulfur 2) could possibly be an overmethylator (rare, they say. But I think we've learned anything's possible lol)) and the extra sulfur adds to the load. Over methylators do well with NON methyl B vitamins. So, how much sulfur is getting in her supplements? If you add that to sulfur rich foods, maybe it's just too much??? Also, you could go over the list and see what else all those foods might have in common. Such

as phenols, salicylates or oxalates. Just a thought....-TammyTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Wed, February 16, 2011 4:44:52 AMSubject: Not tolerating a lot of high sulfur foods. Does that mean anything?

After a discussion on another thread, I was looking into sulfur rich foods and found that Maia does not tolerate about 70% of the foods on the sulfur rich foods list. The sulfur rich foods she does tolerate, I have to really limit them because if she has just a little too much, she gets diarrhea.

Does it mean anything that she has issues with sulfur rich foods?

She does GREAT on MB12 and DMG.  In terms of supplements, she's made the greatest gains from the two.  When she takes them, it's like night and day and she becomes the great and chatty Princess Maia in all her glory with her bossy word approximations.

So what does it mean if she does well on methylators and not well on sulphur foods?  I'm assuming that because she does well on methylators, that she's undermethylated.  But what's the relationship between sulphur and methylation?

Oh, and I forgot to mention, she does horribly on non-methyl B vitamins.  It makes her climb the walls and be super sensory seeking -- makes her grind her teeth, mouth objects, chew on non-food items (toys, clothes, etc.).

There was a really brilliant post about this a few months ago. Our fella does well initially on methyl donors but then needs the sulfur to balance it. I wish I had saved the post. I will check to see if I can find but you should check too. Sent from my iPhone

I would look for other common denominators those foods share. Oxalates, phenols, salicylates, vitamin and mineral content..etc. etc.
