Guest guest
Hello! I have been fascinated and a little bit obsessed with this discussion about iodine. It makes so much sense I want to cry and scream! Of course my kids are iodine deficient because I don't use much salt and almost never give salt to my kids. I've ordered Dr. B's book and I'm awaiting my membership to the Iodine yahoo group. I also ordered a bottle of Nutriodine. In the meanwhile, can Cheryl or others guide me to a reference to share with my DAN? She said she has no info at all on this. She is really open to learning something new, and I just have a hunch that this is going to help us all. Also, how exactly do I use the solution in the store that has alcohol in it? Rub some on our skin? How much, how often, what body parts? How would I know if it was too much? How will I know if it's helping or working? thank you to all for the great info in this group! Guest guest
Ditto here about being obsessed with the iodine discussion. I've been using the pink non-iodized salt (which I don't think is bad but I think it means that they no longer have a source of iodine). I, too, would love more information on how to use it, how to give it. I just ordered the J.Crow 2% iodine. About 2 minutes ago, I was just reading on the iodine group that there was someone who had an incident but the amount they were using sounded like a lot to me (something like 125 mg topically) and the description of that incident scares me a little but I was comparing that amount to what Cheryl described about using 2% and using a Q-tip to paint the iodine on. What I'm curious about (as I am with all supplements when I find out about them)...are there toxicity levels with iodine? (I'm a bit of a wuss when it comes to supplementing and I always want to know what toxicity looks like first before I start it). I might look up what iodine toxicity looks like. Hello!
