Guest guest
I really like this Katcha. Thanks so much for sharing. This is something I can do. I have a lot of trouble with the "affirmations" sometimes because a lot of them sound phoney to me. Saying "I'm uncomfortable" is real though and not just a politically correct euphemism. This works for me! Sunny Dumping Diet Mentality I had a light bulb moment - instead of saying "I need to lose weight." I will say "I am uncomfortable." The lose weight sentence is a judgmental statement. The only outcome is quilt and 'chore' mentality. The uncomfortable admission better focuses and directs me towards what is really bothering me. If its emotional based, I will know that. If its physical body based, I can address that more positively. Guest guest
great idea! There's a fine line between IE and " diet " . Perspective and attitude change go a long way. I like your reframing statement. I'm oing to give it a try. Thanks. Sandy I had a light bulb moment - instead of saying " I need to lose weight. " I will say " I am uncomfortable. Guest guest
I really like this phrase, "I'm uncomfortable," too, because it's honest without raking ourselves over the coals, which I do when I don't catch myself in time. I'm going to try using this phrase this week. Thanks, Katcha! Norma, blogging at http://givingupdieting.wordpress.com/
Guest guest
Thanks from me too, Katcha. I had a bad body shame attack yesterday after looking in the mirror. Need to calm it all down with less judgment. April M.
