Guest guest
Mark, I finally had time to look at that list. It says in 178 grams of coffee that there is 6 oz. Equivalent and that it has zero point 92 grams of carbs. That is less than 1 gram in 6 oz. Of coffee. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Friday, June 10, 2011 3:09 PM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: Surely this isn't so? maybe the 178 stands for grams of caffeine and not calories? I believe my sugar has as well went up after drinking certain coffee in the past. giving up coffee would be about as bad as it could get! Surely this isn't so? I was just figuring up how many calories and carbs my breakfast had and going by the carb list that I got off this list a few years back the total blew me away! there must be a mistake on this list for coffee. 2 scrambled eggs, 122 calories and 3 carbs 3 slices of bacon, 20 and 3 1 cup fresh strawberries, 166 and 12 so this adds up to 308 calories and 15 carbs for breakfast which isn't bad. but by the list I have it says that only 6 ounces of coffee has 178 calories and less then a carb. my coffee cup will hold 18 ounces and I drink 4 cups every morning. this is a total of 72 ounces of black coffee. if this list is correct in only 6 ounces has 178 calories, then my coffee alone had over 2000 calories? I don't understand how coffee black can have hardly any calories at all. it could be a mistake in Braille and that is what I hope is the case. Some one needs to tell me it isn't true and black coffee is fine.
Guest guest
well that makes me feel a lot better knowing that. so I wonder is that first number stands for grams and not calories? maybe I didn't read the beginning as well as I should have. but I did think that amount of calories in the food was first, then the size and then the carb count? I will go read it again from the beginning. thanks. Surely this isn't so? Guest guest
If you get your coffee from a brewesta like sugar is added. We have a brewesta place here in and they add sugar syrup to all their coffees. Mcs also have sugar in their lattes. Betty Emmons Surely this isn't so?
