My drink is diet pop. I have lost 70 pounds in a little over a year and a half.

One thing I do is weigh my food. When I started this weight loss my A-1-c was

8.8 and now it is 6.5. I have problems in exercising. The lower my number is the

more I feel like exercising. I am attending a diabetes class once a month and am

really trying to stay with this. My advice is to take one meal at a time. I

think that some of the medicine make people want to eat. I also think that some

meds can cause weight gain. I would like to say it is the little things that

count. Congratuate yourself on a small thing you did on a daily and find some

other way to reward yourself other than food.

I know what you mean about coffee. I usually drink

only 1 cup a day, but I sure would hate to not have that one cup! (I have to

have reduced liquids because I am now on dialysis.)
