Guest guest
I just graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and I've been anxious all day, I overate a little bit and now I'm fighting the urge to plan a diet and exercise plan. I know I feel uncertain about the future, and planning a diet is my way of gaining some sort of control, but I really don't want to just sit with this feeling. I've journaled, planned out productive things to do this week to advance my writing career, etc. The feeling isn't going away though. I can't handle lack of control. And advice? Did anyone else have this problem when they went through major life change? McKella
Guest guest
I don't really have any advice other than to try to relax and work through it, but congratulations on your degree! Guest guest
A forum that I am on says to practice breathing. Focus on the anxiety and breathe through it, focus on where it is, how it feels, and send air to there and surround it by breath, feel the emotions and release them. Keeping them trapped makes it more difficult. We have to learn to feel and not eat and unfortunately it is very uncomfortable to feel these emotions. I think what you are going through is perfectly normal.
