I don't know precisely how long it lasts, I take one in the morning and one

at night.

How long does Metformin stay active or effective in your bloodstream?

From have heard, taking it 12 hours after the morning dose is best to do.

Hi Becky

I take Metformin twice a day.

500mg before breakfast

and the other 500mg before dinner,thus not letting upste my tummy if it plans

to, I never know how this " wonder " drug will work, this because I take with my

anti rejection meds..smile

guess as long as you take it before or right after, it would be ok.

Something you should ask your doctor?
