Guest guest
I think there's also some sort of technology that can read the cookies on your laptop from other sites you've visited and send advertisements related to those sites. For example, I'm always getting ads for Lane and weight loss supplements, even in my hotmail account, which I don't use for message boards or much of anything that really should indicate I'm a big girl. I assume that this is because I peruse diet websites from time to time. But last week when I was browsing different online stores, I went to the Talbot's website, which I hadn't done for a very long time (we're talking years) and sure enough, the next time I went to Yahoo, there was an ad for Talbots. Kind of creepy, really. There really is no such thing as privacy online! Josie > > It's all context sensitive. I use a gmail account to communicate with my oa friends and the ads are always food related when there's food discussed. > > >
