Guest guest
Fevers are normal for the first week or two (longer for some). Sometimes they are high but typically it's a low grade fever. I think my son had them on and off for about a month. Cheryl ~http://www.gryffins-tail.blogspot.com~~@Gryffins_Tail~ Ok today we are starting our antiviral treatment for our daughter. Here is the plan I am going to start off with Difulcan at 40 mg once a day she is already taking 1 cap of berberine to fight of yeast..she hasn't had any yeast behaviors for about a month so I think we are in good shape. After 10 days I am going to start the Valtrex at 1/2 the dosage and then on day 7 move to a full dosage.... and poof she will be recovered in 2 weeks lol..or maybe 2 months..I can even deal with 2 years..wishful thinking. Really I know that doesn't happen. I am seeing that others are posting about high fevers did we ever get a answer on that? I know a rash is normal but if she gets a fever do I stop it? Any advise would be helpful..it's funny how I am so scared to start Valtrex(we have had it for 3 weeks now) but when my daughter had H1N1 and the doctor told me to give her Tamiflu for 2 weeks I didn't think twice...we learn so much over the years!!!! Guest guest
I would use a Dr. and always go slow... you need to be able to see whats happening with one thing before you add another thing... remember inappropriate use of anti biotic/fungal/viral increases the resistance to medicine (the last thing you want) our dr continues valtrex through illness, not sure about anti fungal as our son had allergic reaction so we had to stop. Guest guest
Thanks for the reply & Cheryl ..Yes we are working with a Dan I wouldn't do it any other way Cheryl...so low grade is ok.We did start her Difulcan today so was on it for a month and then off for 3 weeks. She didn't have any die off last time nor have I seen any die off this far. I am excited and scared at the same time and I am all about going slow hopeful that good things will follow. Thanks again > > > Ok today we are starting our antiviral treatment for our daughter.
