Bruce,

Thanks for sharing that story....I know for me and I certainly don't think I'm at all unique in this regard, watching a wild creature who ventures into my world is somehow very soothing. We have deer in the yard several times a week and I just love watching them. There's a doe who's been bringing her two young ones with her for the last couple of weeks. When I first saw them they still had their spots and were somewhat wobbly. With the exception of my newest nephew there are few things sweeter than a baby animal.

Honestly, just observing wildlife, even if it's as simple as the birds at the bird feeder just takes me out of myself and reminds me that life in all it's forms is resilient and is always working towards survival. That probably sounds silly but it all helps me in my continuing battle with this flippin disease!

Re: Something to make you smile and cool you off too!

Late yesterday afternoon there was a rabbit outside my front door in thegrass. It was between my apartment door and the parking lot. We stood onthe sidewalk, less than ten feet from it just watching it. It would eata little grass, look around, move a little. It wasn't one bit disturbedby people, by car doors, by cars moving, by anything. There are severalthroughout the complex and all are just as tame and unconcerned by theactivity. It didn't run under any sprinklers (although don't know whatit did last night when they were on) but it was such a nice simplepleasure just watching it.>> Hi,> My aunt sent me this, it's adorable and cools me off just watching ittoo!
