Guest guest
Dr. Welch, my indocrinologist recommends 60 grams of carbs per meeal, breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is too much for me along with her recommendations for insulin use, which is 18 units of Humalog for breakfast, 18 units of Humalog for lunch, and 27 units of Humalog for supper. I find that consuming 45 grams of carbs at each meal to be just fine without shooting my glr's sky high. Of course she has a formula for me to inject more insulin, if the pre-meal glr is over 100 by 50 points or more. For each 50 points over 100 of glr pre-meal ai am to inject an additional unit of Humalog. If I only consume 45 to 50 grams of carbs per meal, it usually works out just fine. Just plugging along here, Harry Had we never seen the stars, and the sun, and the heaven, none of the words which we have spoken about the universe would ever have been uttered. But now the sight of day and night, and the months and the revolutions of the years, have created number, and have given us a conception of time, and the power of enquiring about the nature of the universe; and from this source we have derived philosophy, than which no greater good ever was or will be given by the gods to mortal man.
