I didn't know there were audio CD workshops. What do they offer in addition to the book, if I may ask? Thanks,

Kathy

I think we should flood Tribole and Elyse Resch with requests for them to create an IE workbook that includes journal prompts. I know there are others on the market, but these two women are truly my gurus. I emailed both of them...I know has a bunch of professional worksheets you can purchase if you are a therapist, but they are very costly. They are for her professional training program she runs.I suggested she take those and combine them into a workbook.I have both sets of their audio cd workshops, but I WANT MORE!! :)Elyse said they are possibly going to work on a 3rd edition of the book, but let's get the word out that a workbook is what we need!

Hey Tripp,

Welcome back! I remember your username from when you were here before. I hope we can give you the support you are looking for.

I have to admit, creating a workbook that goes along with the IE book has been on my list for some time. I actually emailed Elyse about it once and I also talked to her about a companion book about activity that would go along with the IE book. I know that both Elyse and are extremely busy and I would guess that flooding them with this request may not be all that effective. It's worth a try I suppose, but I have an email in to that I sent last week and I haven't heard back yet. It takes her a while to get back with email because of her schedule and what I can only imagine is a horrendous amount of email.

I don't think the professional forms that sells on her site would be super helpful for anyone looking for more stuff from the authors of the IE book. I won't say don't buy them, but I have them because I took 's most recent course for professionals. Many of the forms are exercises and/or questionnaires and they are fairly easy to understand, but there isn't the support or instructions to tell you what to do with the information or results that you get from the exercise. Many are good for opening dialogue or getting a client to think in a different way and are for the professional who is working with a client on IE. I hope that makes sense. If anyone has any questions about the forms, email me.

The audios are great! I would absolutely recommend them to all of you.

I think a workbook would be great. Many clients tell me that they love the IE book but feel it needs more practical, how-to information. This is an issue I hear a lot with Geneen Roth as well. So hypothetically, because I can't commit to such a project at the moment, what would any of you look for in a workbook that would go along with the IE book?

- what do you like best about the book?

- what did you like least?

- what parts were most helpful?

- what areas would you like more information?

- what areas do you think need specific how-to info?

- is there a format that would work for you (size of workbook, fill-in spaces, chapters, by principle, etc., etc.)

- what else would you love to see in a workbook?

- what would you NOT include, what would feel like "filler" compared to really useful info?
