Guest guest Posted January 30, 2011 Report Share Posted January 30, 2011 Yes, it's because it clears through the kidneys that you tend to be more thirsty - it can cause dehydration. It generally isn't a problem but *excessive* thirst should definitely be discussed with your doctor. I read somewhere (can't remember where but you can google it) that excessive thirst occurred in patients that had elevated creatinine. I didn't dig to find out what that means, though, in the grand scheme of things.
