Guest guest
Hi, I am only on one diabetes list--this one! Please feel free to forward this to some other diabetes list, especially since my questions do not necessarily apply to a blind or visually impaired diabetic. People should reply to: dab007@.... For those of you who were diagnosed in the last few years (preferably not more than 5 years ago), what do you remember about the process? Did your doctor (the office) have a set regime for you to adhere to? Where you would learn about your medications, along with meeting with a nutritionist, and perhaps also be directed to participate in a support group? I was diagnosed at age 11, in 1967, so have no clear idea how a newly diagnosed diabetic is handled today. I'd especially appreciate experiences of those diagnosed with t1 (insulin dependent) diabetes. But any experiences will be helpful. Many thanks for your tolerance of this somewhat off-topic post! Dave ~~ THE ATTACHÉ -- From Desert Breeze Publishing ~~ Released January, 2012, this debut EBook full-length novel is about a man who loses his sight, his struggle to find his way, and his growing attraction to a woman who has a problem of her own. Will Zach be able to climb his mountain again? Will Jessie find the wandering nomad she thinks she loves? Life is complicated enough for Zach and Jessie, and a madman on the loose doesn't help.
