I give GSE to our dog everytime he smells at all like yeast. He is a redbone (huge easily infected ears) and he's been clean for almost 2 years. I did ask the vet first if this was ok.Sent from my iPhone

Not sure about the Vitamin A Toni. We got meds for our dog from our Vet. Now I

put a couple of drops of iodine in his water, just for good measure. Not gonna

hurt him, that's for sure!

We are all on Paratrex and iodine, actually. I am the parasite police around

here, girl! Washin' sheets every day ain't fun, but I'm doin' it.

Well, you wouldnt have to necessarily wash them would you? Wouldnt the high heat

of the dryer kill them? Really no idea and would like to know. I am not sure we

can clean our environment enough to matter. Or not sure i just dont wanna spend

so much time cleaning (can you tell i hate cleaning?) I think we just have to

give our body what it needs to be clean :-)

There are quite a few people treating their pets with iodine at the Iodine yahoo

group. The pets are deficient too!

ARRGH, those @#$@!(%* parasites! I have a cat, too, and Ethan's been caught on a few occasions getting into the kitty litter box.  I wonder if that's how the whole parasite issue started.  Our cat's an exclusively indoor cat, though.  I thought that would reduce the likelihood of him having parasites.

I will check tonight to be sure but I think it's 125 mg: 1 capsule nutrabiotic GSE per day for 2-3 days mixed in wet food. He is sixty pounds. Five of those pounds are in his ears. Sent from my iPhone

It probably does decrease his risk of parasites. But tapeworm can come from the cat eating a flea, one infected flea.We gave our cat the de-wormer last month at full moon time but apparently he got reinfected.

My kids know to stay away from the cat box but since the cat sleeps in their beds, I don't trust they didn't something up (especially with my fingers in the mouth kids... this is lately...)

Your dog sounds cute. He must have huge ears! You say he is a

Redbone. What is that?    I have a 40 pound half Bassett hound, half

Blue healer. She looks like a bassett, and is spunky like a blue

healer.                       She is great, but she is prone to

urinary trac infections and ear goop.    I am going to try your

idea. I have both liquid and pill form.Did your vet prescribe pill

form?

Our homeopath used to use samento for her dogs to help with parasites. Humaworm also makes something for pets. I don't have pets so I haven't used either personally. Good luck.
