When I had my doctor's office call in a script for the prodigy Voice strips through Walgreens, I was told that those strips were no longer available. I called prodigy, and was told that all their meters now use the same Prodigy " no code " strips and that the NDC code is different and I was given the new code which I then gave to my doctor's office. They called in the script again, and I received the strips. Well, it turns out that these new strips don't work in my Prodigy voice. If I insert one of the older strips that are now expired, the meter turns on just fine. I called Prodigy again and I'm pretty upset at the way they are handling this. So far they are not willing to replace my meter. According to them the newer strips with the different NDC code should work fine but they do not. Now I'm stuck with 100 strips and a meter that won't work with them. I've just started using Insulen so I have to be able to get my sugar readings. To make a long story short, if I have to buy a new meter or have my insurance pay for one, I just may switch to a different brand because of the way Prodigy has chosen to handle this. I know some folks have chosen to go with the Solo V2 so I'm wondering what the differences are between the 2 meters and if the Solo has any advantages over the Prodigy. Thanks much.
