More than likely, the Prodigy Voice someone got 2 years ago, or 3, or 4, hasn't

changed. Try going to the Prodigy web site to contact them to ask if there is a

newer model or firmware version.

I'm in the process of ordering the Prodigy Voice, but I want to be sure I get

the latest version of the Prodigy Voice. Is there a particular model name or

number that identifies the latest version so I know that they're not slipping an

older model or version on me?

I'm in the process of ordering the Prodigy Voice, but I want to be sure I get

the latest version of the Prodigy Voice. Is there a particular model name or

number that identifies the latest version so I know that they're not slipping an

older model or version on me?

I just received a replacement unit from Prodigy in exchange for my old

defective Prodigy voice. I honestly don't know the model number, but there

is one big difference between the older units and the newer ones. The older

units had a slide switch on one side that was used to eject the used strip.

The new models no longer have this. Another difference is that the older

model played a musical tune when turning on and off. The newer model

doesn't do this, it just tells you it's on which is so much better IMHO.

I don't know if others have experienced the older VS the newer models, but I

see a huge difference in how quickly it grabs the blood sample. It seems to

be much more sensitive which has made a huge difference for me at least. I

just received mine a couple of days ago, and it works so much better than my

old one.

You should probably give Prodigy a call and ask them how you can determine

you have gotten one of the latest versions. Their number is:

The model I had was one of the first ones but can’t recall what year I

purchased it in. It is definitely quite different from the new model I just

received a couple of days ago.

Hi Rick, Prodigy also has changed their AutoCode meter. The older one was more

square like, blue. It gave you the indoor temperature, as welll as, a 7,14,28,60

and 90 day averages. The newer model is quite different. It si, black and grey.

It doesn't give the temperatyre. It only has the, 1, 14 and  28 day averages.

However, I do like the screen display on both of them. Especially the newer one.

They got rid of the strip ejector and improved the way the buttons worked

several years ago. The original PV's buttons were extremely sensitive. And that

annoying musical intro--yikes!

Hi Dave, no the newer Auto Code doesn't have any additional audio.
