Guest guest
According to my book " Could it be B12, The Epidemic of a Misdiagnosis " says that if you are going to have anesthesia, be sure to supplement B12, as it's used up. If your child is already low, ask your DAN how much to supplement. The good news is that - you can't OD on B12, it's water soluble so if it's not used, it goes out when he pees. The second thing I would suggest is a holistic dentist if you can afford it. Our (my) dentist is Dr. Glaros in Houston, and he won't do root canals. He says you should just remove the tooth. I had a very hard time with that concept, and then he threw down the research. It's compelling. So much so, I had a 'problem' tooth removed, and a fake one put in. We did the same thing for my brother Rob. (thank God it was only one tooth, I was fearful he would have a mouth full of dentures.) -- He got his done in FL by Dr. . If you are a 'reader' -- you might find the book " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price (a dentist) --interesting and full of good information. this was the source of info from my holistic dentist (that I had to buy the book and read it.) :)laura > > My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. Guest guest
Also, I forgot to mention - have you heard of " Oil Pulling? " -- it's real easy, you put about a tablespoon of sesame seed oil in your mouth (coconut works well too) swish it for 10-20 min. Spit it out. It helps with lots of things. (Especially helping with dental issues) I make my brother do it. (He's 26!) Makes your teeth whiter. I don't have stains on my teeth, and I probably should from all the coffee I drink. (and all the blueberries I eat!) laura > > > > My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. Guest guest
My daughter did fine with novocaine. Just DO NOT use nitrous oxide!! My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. One is so serious that his pediatric dentist asked us to consider root canal to avoid damage to the nerves. The dentist said he would use local anesthesia to reduce the pain during the treatment, but I am too concerned about the side effects of the anesthesia, and am also concerned about any possible trauma that he might develop. Any experienced parents, please give me some advice. Should I delay or avoid the root canal? If the treatment is inevitable what should I do to prepare for the treatment? Guest guest
, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't allow any dentist to do a root canal in your child's mouth! I have done a lot of research on dental care and root canals, which are dead teeth (they drill out the pulp) are VERY bad for the body. The body will continue to try to fight it over and over and over. Dead teeth also accumulate very dangerous pathogenic bacteria. The same bacterias that are responsible for cancer. In fact, ALL cancer patients who have visited the Huggins clinic for dental revision have had root canals and the same bacteria in their root canal sites were in the tumors. This is a very serious thing to consider, so PLEASE do the research and familiarize yourself with your options before going through with it. Research Hal Huggins and root canals. Oh and when I just went to my biological dentist on Wed, she had JUST come back from a training seminar with the Huggins clinic and they have studies proving that you do NOT need to drill all the way down to the pulp, even if there is decay there, because regardless of whether the cavity reaches the pulp, the pulp is still infected, so what this means is that those fillings that are done without drilling all the way to the pulp still stops the infection from getting worse. Encapsulating the tooth prevents the decay from going further AND the pulp literally heals itself! No mainstream dentist is going to know this, I promise you that. He may even look at you like you are insane, so perhaps it's time to lay the law down telling this dentist that you do NOT want the drilling to go near the pulp. Feel free to call my dentist and tell her what you are up against. How you have a child with a potential root canal and you REALLY need to know about this new knowledge. Her name is Dr. Blanche Grube, in Scranton PA. There are very few doctors that amaze me anymore, but this one, she knows her stuff! PS - this tooth is just going to fall out and be replaced by another, so the alternative to leaving the tooth is just to pull it, problem solved! That is personally what I would do before putting any foreign materials into his mouth. > > My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. Guest guest
Oh and , I forgot to tell you one thing. When a person's phosphorus is low, no matter how much brushing you do, he WILL have decay. I would encourage you to have a nutritional panel drawn on him so you can check his levels. He may benefit from supplementation. > > My son is 4.5 year old and recently he was found to have serious tooth decay in his 2 upper central incisor teeth. Guest guest
Oh. Thank you . It is a very good info. I just checked my son's latest test results and he is deficient in phosphorus. Ref range shown here is 350-1700ug/mg creatinin here and my son's were 107, and then 152. No wonder why we are having so many decays. He had anesthesia 3 times already but I did not know anything about this stuff back then. He has a bad decay now and I am not going for anesthesia anymore. He also would not open his mouth for the dentist and I really do not know what to do. Do you happen to have any idea how much of phosphorus I can give to a 7 year-old ? Guest guest
Thank you . What you suggested really makes sense to me. Before I posted my question I was so nervous about the root canal, though I could not tell why. I will cancel the appointment, and ask the dentist just to fill the decayed teeth or pull them out if the problem becomes too serious. Thanks again for giving this invaluable information. I also thank and other parents who replied. > > Oh and , I forgot to tell you one thing. When a person's phosphorus is low, no matter how much brushing you do, he WILL have decay.
