Glad to hear they upped your glipizide, but you are right. Keep an eye on

your BG before and after the bike ride. Sometimes exercise makes your sugar

go up for a time afterwards, tu this is not ture for everyone, so test often

while you are getting used to new meds and exercise regime.;;Please let your

doctor know about your heart speed up after midnight. He would be the one

to advise you on that.

Hang in there, Mark, you ae doing well.

Subject: Glipizide.

my regular doc raised my 2.5 of Glipizide to 10 mg yesterday. the lowest

I've been able to get it over the past week was 180 and this is with one

hour of riding the bike. I may now be able to get it down with this change

of four times stronger. suppose this means I got to really be careful for

when I do get better at eating right and doing the bike every day, there may

be a bigger chance of my sugar going to low? Also in case one of you may

have the answer to this q. my heart seems to race mainly after midnight.

last night a cramp in my leg woke me up and I noticed the ticker was faster

then normal and picking up speed. I done the slow breathing in and out for a

few minutes and it did slowly bring it back under control. could be the pain

from the leg cramp caused it to speed up this time? however, when there is

no cramps the ticker is still speeding up at night and always between

midnight and 4-30 when I get up. they told me in the hospital that this A

fib drug Amiodarone has a long half life and if the ticker does speed up it

should grab it and slow it back down. maybe they are right and I don't fully

trust it yet.
