other kinds of exercises can I do to make pounds fall off? can't really afford

the cab fare to and from the YMCA 3 times  a week, so need those types of

exercise that can be done at home with what ever is at hand.

there is no way on God's little green earth this fat pig is going to dance!

if I was to get out on a floor of any kind and start throwing my big pig self

around, I can assure you I would break something or some one not to mention the

floor I would tare up when I finally come to a stop. I can and will dance slow

where I can hug the lady and get very close, but fast dance?? not a chance! not

even by my self in my home alone with only me and the radio. all the furniture

in the house would be tore up, windows would break out, doors would fall off the

wall, the cats would run off and hide and I know I would stick my fat head in

the ceiling fan from all that jumping around. what a way to get a cheap haircut!

No can do! dancing is all the way out. please think of a different way to lose

pounds. ever seen a 300 pound gorilla dancing and gyrating around the room?

You burn more calories if you build up muscles. do you belong to the NLS? There

is a book called the eight minute workout. It contains meal ideas plus a series

of exercises which the author suggests one do when they first get up to kick in

the metabolism. I try to do them daily and it is only supposed to take eight

minutes a day. I don’t do them first thing but try to do them every day and

have been able to up the weight of the handweights I use. I could send the

exercises to the list if anyone wishes.

I think that would be a good idea to send the exercises to the list.

I live in a high rise building, and in the winter, I go up the stairs, to

the next floor, walk the length of the hall, and then climb stairs at the

other end, to the next floor, and so on! Meet a lot of people that way!

that is 4 miles away and my cane just could get me lost and I may never be

found again. plus as slow as I walk it would take me one hour per mile. I can do

3 to 4 miles per hour on a treadmill and feel fine, but just walking in a room

or out side I only move about 1 mile per hour. I use to see well enough to ride

a cycle and drive a car on a dirt road where I wouldn't get caught, but now all

that site is all gone and nothing but blackness these days. now maybe if I had a

set of wings I could then fly! how cool would it be to actually fly just like a

kite or a bird? ever dreamed you were flying above the ground? I've dreamed this

a few times and never could I get down. actually in the dream I continued to go

higher when I wanted down.

A tread mill, or purchase your own bike. Also, Mark, give it time. I thought

about writing a book one time, called the POW diet. As in, Prisoners OF War, or

Power Over Weight. Think about it. If you ever had sight (and if you didn't,

trust me) there were pictures of WW II prisoners of war who were emaciated. Why?

Simple. They were literally starved. It's pretty simple, really. Eat less and

eventually the weight comes off.

So, of course, I'm not encouraging a POW type diet, but if you keep eating

properly and doing moderate exercise, you'll see the weight drop.

well all ready got the redundant bike that goes no where and every where at

the same time. I have been riding it for hone hour a day and some days longer. I

have cut calories to right at a 1200 calorie diet. I know you are right. have

done this before and it has always pissed me off that the pounds don't drop off

as fast as they go on. actually I will lose inches around my waste and other

places before the pounds start dropping away. I heard once from a fitness

teacher that it takes ten calories to maintain our present weight. if we eat by

our weight in calories then we stay the same weight. eat less and we lose, eat

more and we gain. so if I weigh 312 now, then if she was right about staying the

same at ten calories a pound to maintain weight, then I have to eat 3120 a day.

I'm on 1200, so I should lose pounds with exercise. it will be slower then I

like, but it won't cause me to throw it to the wind as I have many times in my

fat past. going to try some of those weight lifting exercises that Dean sent out

a bit ago. going to get Sir Hansen to Braille it for me and maybe I will take

him to breakfast for his trouble.

I know it would be hard to miss a 300 pound porker, but people see and they

don't see what they are looking right at and there fore, the pig would be lost

forever more!

best gym equipment in the world is right at your feet, the floor. At one time in

the past I use to do three sets of 50 pushups or 150 pushups in a single time

span. Now I believe three sets of 25 or 30 pushups would have been quite

sufficient for the task. At the time I could not even do one respectible pushup

when I started them. I did what is commanly called sissy pushups, where one

pushes up with the hands while the knees act as the base instead of the feet.

Over a short time span one can build strong muscles in the arms and sholders. To

build strong thigh muscles start by doing knee bends or sqwats. Doing two or

three sets of 25 of them will show quick benefits.
